Information we collect
Information you give us. If you join our email list or contact us, we collect the email address (and any message) you provide. We do not require an account to use the free tools.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. We use minimal, essential cookies.
Calculator and tool inputs. The numbers you type into our free calculators, and any plant lists you save, are processed in your own browser or stored on your own device. We do not receive or store the values you enter.
App information. In the Clearly app, your saved projects, lists, and settings are stored on your device. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not receive your full payment card details.
Third-party services
The deer-resistant plant finder loads plant photos and descriptions from Wikipedia when you tap a plant. Some links on our Services are affiliate links (for example, to retailers such as Amazon). When you follow those links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you, and the retailer's own privacy policy governs your activity on their site. These third parties operate independently and have their own privacy practices.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
